Workforce management + lone worker protection

Manage every shift, worker, site and safety event from one platform

Glix helps security, cleaning, care and field-service organisations schedule workers, verify attendance, protect lone workers, manage patrols and give clients real-time proof of service.

14-day trial, no card, full Pro features. Set up your own sites and run a real shift, no sales call. Or explore the platform first.

Why contractors switch

Four leaks in a normal operating week

Each one is a margin problem before it is a software problem.

Rota manager rebuilding next week’s shift plan across two screens

The rota rebuild

Shift-by-shift tools make every change a rebuild, and the rebuild always lands on the day something goes wrong.

Glix: recurring services carry forward, so cover and changes cost one action.

Worker clocking in on a mobile phone at a site entrance at the start of an early shift

Disputed hours

Billable-hours disputes and ghost shifts are direct margin leaks, and the argument is word against word.

Glix: geofenced clock events with a location fix answer a challenged 06:00 start in one read.

Security officer recording a checkpoint on a mobile phone during a night patrol of a commercial site

Unprovable patrols

A list of taps proves activity. It does not prove the route was walked properly, and clients know the difference.

Glix: ordered rounds, photo proof and missed-round detection before the phone rings.

Care worker starting a scheduled check-in on her phone before a solo evening visit

Safety you cannot evidence

A text message and a promise to call back is not a welfare arrangement an auditor or a client will accept.

Glix: scheduled check-ins, automatic escalation to named responders and a full incident trail.

How Glix responds

Pick something that goes wrong on a normal week

Six situations every operations manager recognises, and what the platform does about each one.

A Thursday night shift has nobody on it

  1. Trigger

A guard calls in sick at 16:40 for a 22:00 start at Harbour Point.

  2. Glix

The shift shows as uncovered on the rota and on the operations board, against the service rather than a blank cell.

  3. Manager

Cover is assigned in two clicks, and the pre-shift briefing for that location goes with it.

  4. Record

The original assignment and the cover are both retained, so the rota shows what was planned and what happened.

The platform

Nine pillars, one worker record

Take the whole platform or start with the part that hurts most. Everything attaches to the same person and the same site, so nothing needs reconciling later.

Scheduling & rotas

Build recurring rotas, fill open shifts, cover absence in two clicks and brief workers before they arrive.

Time & attendance

Geofenced clock in and clock out with a location fix, raw clock events preserved and rated hours that are export-ready for payroll.

Lone worker protection

Worker SOS, discreet duress alarm, check-ins with missed check-in escalation, SMS alert rungs and last-known location.

Patrols & rounds

Checkpoint taps, ordered patrol routes, photo proof, missed-round alerts, dwell time and offline capture.

Site audits

Weighted inspection scoring with pass thresholds, per-item auditor guidance, corrective actions tracked to close, audit scheduling and AI-assisted write-up.

Incident reporting

Capture incidents from mobile with photographs and last-known location, keep a complete uncapped history and hand clients or investigators a record that has no gaps.

Live operations

Every site on one screen in three honest buckets, with derived coverage, missed-round and late-worker exceptions, live worker location and alerts for web-based managers.

Client portal

Give clients a read-only view of attendance proof, completed rounds, site audit results and incidents, scoped to their own contract.

People & compliance

Employee directory with self-onboarding, SIA licence and certificate expiry tracking, holiday and absence, role-based access and a GDPR toolset with subject access export.

The Glix difference

Lone worker protection that never lapses

Safety on Glix is not a paid add-on and it does not switch off. It is on every plan and survives every billing state. If a payment fails, the account locks read-only and safety keeps running. We built it that way deliberately.

  • Worker SOS on mobile, plus a discreet duress alarm for coercion situations that escalates silently.
  • Scheduled check-ins with automatic escalation when one is missed.
  • Escalation ladder to named responders, with an SMS rung you control per location.
  • Last-known location on every incident, and live location for duty managers during active shifts.

Why Glix

What you are replacing

Spreadsheets and group chat

Works until the second contract or the first dispute. No attendance evidence, no escalation, and worker data sitting in a chat app on personal phones.

See the comparison →

Three systems that never speak

A rota tool, a lone worker app and a patrol system means three worker records, three renewals and three security questionnaires for procurement.

See the comparison →

Manual attendance

Sign-in sheets and call-in systems record what someone remembered, not what happened, and cannot answer a disputed start time.

Evidence integrity

Records that never pretend

Procurement teams and regulators reward evidence that behaves consistently, including when it is inconvenient.

Counts derive

Coverage and round counts come from recorded events. They are never hand-edited, so nobody can dress the dashboard before a review.

Expiry is visible

When photo evidence reaches the end of its retention period the file is deleted and the record keeps a photo-removed marker and the date. GDPR storage limitation without a hole in the trail.

History is uncapped

Incident history is complete and never silently truncated. In a dispute or an investigation, the gap is the liability, so there is not one.

Questions

Straight answers before you book anything

What does Glix actually do?

Glix plans the work and proves it happened. It covers rotas and scheduling, geofenced time and attendance, lone worker protection, patrols and rounds, site audits, incident reporting, a live multi-site operations board, a client portal and people compliance, all against one worker record.

Who is Glix for?

UK organisations managing deskless and field-based workers across multiple sites: security contractors, cleaning contractors, domiciliary and community care providers, facilities management teams, construction and field service operators. Plans start at five billable seats, so it suits a small contractor as well as a multi-contract operator.

How is Glix priced?

Per active worker per month. Essential is £5 and Pro is £8, with two months free on annual billing. Managers and owners are not billable, and there is a minimum of five billable seats. Enterprise is quoted against workforce size, modules, locations and implementation needs.

Is lone worker protection included on every plan?

Yes. SOS, the discreet duress alarm, check-ins, escalation to named responders, SMS alerts and last-known location are on every tier, and they keep running in the read-only grace state after a failed payment.

Is Glix an emergency service or an alarm receiving centre?

No. Glix supports your own welfare procedures and escalates to responders you nominate. It does not provide 24/7 human monitoring or dispatch, and it does not contact the emergency services for you. In an emergency, always call 999.

Where is our data held?

Production data is resident in the United Kingdom. Gyzer Technologies Ltd, which provides Glix, is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 by a UKAS-accredited certification body, and the platform includes a GDPR toolset with subject access request export.

Can we try Glix before buying?

Yes, and you do not need to speak to anyone first. A 14-day trial gives you the full Pro feature set with no payment card required, and our pricing is published rather than hidden behind a sales call. If you are buying for a large or procurement-led organisation, a 20-minute demo is available too.

Does Glix replace our payroll system?

No. Glix rates worked hours with breaks, rate groups and bank-holiday multipliers and exports them ready for your payroll provider. It does not calculate pay or make payments.
